GLOCK www.teapartycommunity.com/nomoreglockleg/info/
Glock has had more unintentional self (or otherwise unintended) shootings in the past 30 years than any other gun in history, per capita, in the same time frame. Isn't it about time they fixed them, for the added safety of the owners, and people around them, in their families, and neighborhoods? I ran across this (obviously, factory authorized) Glock ad, (circa 2007, unfortunately) and name, 'Safe Action' Pistol, plus Trigger Lock. So, all this time they've been able to produce a 'trigger lock' safety version without even cutting into the top of the frame, as the aftermarket kits do. I'd heard rumors about this gun, but have never seen such close-up pictures/diagrams. The main (top) pic shows Glock HAS offered one [5, actually-see next paragraph], in the past, just not in the USA. See the pic of the FACTORY modification below it, to get an idea of what the Glock design should have always included, (that is factory finger safety no. 2, just on this page) and needs adding, right NOW!
*Joe Cominolli of Cominolli Custom [cominolli.com/] informs me they have actually had FIVE DIFFERENT factory (manual) safety designs, since the gun was first invented. This blows the whole 'the gun doesn't need a manual safety' objection, away. He is the gun industry chieftan most familiar with the issues this page is about, so if you have any doubts, he's told me you're welcome to contact him by phone or email, through his site. In other words, this information is not just one (maybe in your view, goofy) guy's opinion, but rather is based on documented cases of self-shootings, and UD's (unintentional discharges). In fact, Joe has stated that Glock has admitted a design issue at least 55 times!, in open court. HE testified in FIVE such cases, himself.
Remember that, folks. The Glock 'Safe Action' Pistol, plus Trigger Lock!
When you're carrying around a Glock with a round chambered, you are (essentially) carrying a 1911/CZ-type single-action pistol like this:
*The owner/creator of this site has received no outside funds or renumeration of any kind from Mr. Cominolli (or any other source) to make it, and my sole interest in doing so is to make Glock owners and potential buyers aware of the increased hazards of this handgun design, so that they may act, accordingly. IF the Glock company were to issue a re-call (something they've NEVER shown ANY inclination to do) and add the needed safety, (making it standard on all future models, as well) I would be satisfied, so this page is not an attempt at 'gun control' or to put the company out of business, etc. My issue is with the design, only, and is not a personal vendetta.
