Sam Gerhardt@ www.facebook.com/BibleBelieversCowboyChurchFor what it's worth... I look for 4 primary things from any preacher or Bible teacher to whom I would refer new believers or those believers who are new to dispensational Bible study. 1) Does he present Paul's gospel of grace for salvation, without mixing in any of John Baptist's, Jesus' (earthly ministry), the 12 apostles', or any others who preached/taught Israel's kingdom gospel? 2) Does he believe and teach that the King James Bible is the inspired words of God perfectly preserved without error, and NEVER corrects or creates doubt in the mind of the hearer? 3) Does he teach the basic principles of Mid-Acts Pauline Dispensational truth, referring listeners to receive specific body of Christ doctrine only from Romans through Philemon? 4) Does he endeavor "to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace" by fellowshipping with others around the seven unities of Ephesians 4:3-6, without attacking those with whom he may disagree in certain areas? Now, saved folks can and do learn things from those who fall outside of these four points; but when referring those believers who are new to right division, these are the guidelines I use. Two more quotes... "Even a stopped clock is right twice a day" and "Consider the messages of Preachers/Bible Teachers like a fish dinner. Enjoy the fish, set the bones to the side, and know that some fish have more bones than others".
