From Auto, Bicycle, Cycle, Pedestrian & Personal Safety Tips www.teapartycommunity.com/abcp-tips/info/ Page: Things NOT To Do Whilst Driving... The busier our lives become, the more we are tempted to make use of the "down time" that we have while driving. The problem is, driving shouldn't be considered downtime; keep your eyes on the road and arrive at your destination in one piece. Drivers have been caught doing these by other drivers on the road. Now this is how you can paint your fingernails perfectly. Sitting in a car that's being vibrated by the engine and constantly gripping the steering wheel will guarantee a non-messy result. Man, I've got to look really good for that party. Wait, what was I doing? Oh yeah, driving. It's not like that's important or anything...

First off, how did you even find your way to the car if you couldn't see? Why did you start driving without them in the first place? You know the blurry, seizure-inducing lights behind you? That's the police. No matter how common this one is, it is still a crazy thing to do. It doesn't matter how skilled at texting you may be, keeping your eyes on the road will always be more important than looking at your phone. Would you want your doctor to constantly text someone else during your surgery? It can wait. This is pretty much as bad as texting, if not worse. You may have finally gotten your crush's attention on Facebook, but there's no need to desperately message them at times you need to pay attention to something else like, oh, you know, the road.

"Maybe I could do something to help you 'relax'," or so Mary Steenburgen's character Karen says to her husband Gil (Steve Martin) in 1989's "Parenthood" leading them to get into a car accident.
