Did Luke Run Out of Ink?
Luke stops recording the Acts of the Apostles with Paul under house arrest in Rome preaching and teaching to ALL that came unto him. Why did Luke stop writing when he did?
Did he simply run out of ink? Or perhaps he stopped the recording of events where and when the Holy Spirit wanted him to stop. It is said that "the book of Acts is a Book of Transition: moving from one program to another" - Richard Jordan
Luke stops writing when he did because that is when the "transition" was finally complete. The transition that BEGAN in Acts 9 with Saul of Tarsus does not completely END until Luke stops recording events in Acts 28.
This is contrary to what "many" so-called Acts 9 Dispensationalists understand. This would include many Grace School of the Bible graduates and others. Many seem to believe that:
1. Israel ended in Acts 7. They believe that Israel was completely set aside at that time. The evangelical ministry of the "little flock" ended and the Apostles' continued with a "maintaining ministry".
2. The Law ended at the Cross. They believe that Peter, James, John and the other kingdom saints were no longer under the Law after the crucifixion of Jesus Christ.
I would encourage ALL to watch Richard Jordan dispel these and other gross misunderstandings as he teaches about this transition in the Book of Acts. He correctly teaches that Israel stumbled at the Cross; fell when they stoned Holy Ghost filled Stephen (Acts 7); and diminished away during the remainder of the time-period of the Book of Acts until they were completely set-aside (cast away) in Acts 28.
This is an hour-long video comprised of two half-hour lessons. Preacher Jordan covers all of this in the first half hour. Please check it out and listen carefully to ALL that is said.
