Pastor Who? By Todd safeguardyoursoul.com/excuse-me-mam/
Jezebel Invasion
DOMINANT DAMES … Some of those who are God’s Most Beautiful Creation are Amiss … They’ve bought the lies of the same exact enemy that deceived Eve first then Adam ….
Have you noticed the ever-increasing number of ladies who call themselves by lofty titles reserved in the divine economy for men only? Have you been hearing things like “Pastor Mary,” “apostle Jane,” or “Prophetess Marquita,” etc. ….. Is this biblical?
“But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.” 1 Timothy 2:12
There is not one instance in Holy Scripture where a woman is found arguing doctrine with a woman or a man. Jesus intentionally chose twelve MEN. Let’s get a clue saints. Women are commanded not even to use God’s very Word on their husbands to correct them (1 Peter 3:1-8). So it doesn’t even matter if she is doctrinally correct, she is morally/spiritually dead wrong to attempt to argue doctrine with men.
Just what did God create women for? What is their role? What isn’t their role?
This is not about equality, this is about roles. God is no fool. He made men and women with specific roles.
Women are not to be correcting men, even if they are correct actually. 1 Pet 3:1-6 tells us that a woman is to have a meek and quiet spirit and to not even attempt to get her husband saved by using God’s Word from her mouth but rather by her life, much less another man she’s not even married to.
The woman, wife is the “weaker vessel” (1 Peter 3:1-7) and is to be protected by the husband spiritually and otherwise … when she functions outside of her God ordained role, satan will enter and wreak havoc every time. Jesus speaks of that destructive fruit when He addresses this very thing in Revelation 2:20-23.
The Question of Leadership
Excuse me Mam, you cannot possibly be a pastor, apostle, prophet, evangelist, or teacher of men in the sense of the office given only to those who are “the HUSBAND of one wife” which is an utter impossibility for a female (1 Timothy 3:2). Since when can a female be a “husband”? If she can’t be a “husband,” she is not qualified to be an elder in Christ’s body.
Ephesians 4 tells us that Jesus gave His “gifts unto MEN,” that is, for leadership (called the five fold ministry). Were any of Jesus’ 12 women? No. WHERE do we see Paul appointing a woman to a pastoral type leadership position? There’s Titus, Timothy, Apollos etc., but not one woman. Why? – Because an elder of any calling must be “the HUSBAND of one wife” which is an impossibility for a woman (1 Timothy 3:2).
One core argument is whether or not a woman can be in eldership in the body of Christ. The question is whether or not God would allow a woman to fill an office of eldership He told us is specifically for men. I agree that Paul is speaking of polygamy when he says that the elder must be “the HUSBAND of one wife” but when he spoke these words, it is clear that is specifically limiting eldership to MEN as the place to serve which precludes a woman from being an apostle, prophet, evangelist, or teacher as far as church leadership goes. Also, Ephesians 4 tells us that “he (Jesus) gave (these) gifts to MEN” for the perfecting or maturing and equipping of His saints (Ephesians 4:8-12). Combine this with the fact that Jesus chose 12 MEN and not one woman to this office and the fact that there is no hint in any place in the 27 book cannon of New Testament Scripture of a female apostle, prophet, evangelist, or teacher.
Resistance:
“Brother you sound too rigid!”
Reply:
By God’s grace, may He continue to make me rigidly aligned with and obediently faithful to Him alone. Like the Bereans, every true disciple is astute and diligently seeks to walk in the ways of the LORD as given us clearly in His Word. The wicked seek to pervert the truth of Holy Scripture as they are defiant against the LORD they claim to serve.
No angle of reasoning will justify this evil rebellion. This is a divinely-ordained role for men alone to fulfill and a non-negotiable, never-going-to-change truth. Anyone violating it will be judged (Revelation 2:20-23). Of Jezebel and all who allow, enable, and participate is such perversion, Jesus says He is going to “kill her children with death.” (Revelation 2:20-23) Anybody want to argue with the Son of God?
Jezebel Tendencies
It’s interesting how those women who insist, against the clear teaching of Scripture, that women should be allowed to teach men, manifest those qualities of Jezebel. They are telling on themselves. They come up with every excuse known to mankind to get around the fact that women are not “to teach nor to usurp authority over the man.” (1 Timothy 2:12) Here are a few:
>Jezebels use the “men are just using these verses to oppress women” bit
>Also, “No man is going to rule over me!”
>They say things like: “only my husband is my head so I can teach, argue doctrine with, or correct any man I wish!”
>They take the “I’m right and you’re wrong” position in the face of the clear teaching of Scripture
>Jezebel always seeks to find a loophole in the face of the clear truth of God’s Word that women are never “to teach nor to usurp authority over the man but to be in silence.” (1 Timothy 2:12)
Diana Milligan writes:
“Another excuse women will use is departing from Scripture and bringing up historical accounts that may have or may not have happened, depending on who would benefit from slanting it. One example is: the Bible told women to keep silence in the church, because in those days men and women were separated and had to holler to their husbands. They tend to play down the verse that said an Elder was to be ‘the HUSBAND of one wife.’ (1 Tim. 3:2) Kind of hard for a woman to have a wife, unless it’s a Gay Marriage! Though women followed and served Jesus, there was not one Apostle who was a woman. This would have been a perfect opportunity to share that it didn’t matter! The Bible is very clear about the covering!”
You see, the unrepentant Jezebel will do any and everything she can to continue in her rebellion – to continue to deceive, lie, manipulate, control, and to do her father Satan’s work. She is full of pride and there’s no authentic fruit/evidence of the Holy Spirit in her life.
Even Jesus Christ, the very Alpha, Omega, and Almighty God “made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant.” (Philippians 2:7)
The callings listed in Scripture are places of humble serving as unto CHRIST and never to be used to elevate sinful self.
“As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. 11 If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: THATTTT God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.” 1 Peter 4:10-11
First and foremost, the kingdom of God is all about KING Jesus, not us!
Excuse Me Ahab – Sir!
Sir, if you are calling your wife a “pastor” a “co-pastor” or by whatever title, it’s time to repent. Women are the beloved creation of God and to be the “helpmeet” of their husband or daddy and the men around them – helping them fulfill the call of God on their lives. No woman is to ever “to usurp authority over the man.”
“But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. 13 For Adam was first formed, then Eve. 14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.” 1 Timothy 2:12-14
It’s time to repent and get aligned with the Word of God and cease perverting it for our own self-serving purpose!
Listen, two wrongs do not make a right! Increasingly we hear the voices of Jezebels and the Ahabs they have under their death grip crying “If men would just fulfill their calling, women wouldn’t have to step up and lead!” I say NONSENSE to this diabolical smokescreen! There is no case in the New Testament Scriptures where any woman is seen saying or doing such usurping.
Ladies, if you have been abused, join the club! If you have been abused by a man or men, go to the LORD Himself and repent of your own part if any in the matter and all your own sins and let Him heal you. In many cases the wounds you still have could be due to your spinning your wheels by condemning men when you should be repenting and seeking the LORD for His healing. His arm is not shorted but your sin of not seeking His face will stop you from receiving healing from His holy hand (Isaiah 59:1-3).
Anyone violating God’s order will be judged and this is precisely why He judged Thyatira (Revelation 2:20-23). Of Jezebel and all who allow, enable, and participate in such perversion of the roles of men and women, Jesus says He is going to “kill her children with death.” (Revelation 2:20-23) Anybody want to argue with the Son of God?
God’s Word tells us that men and women are “heirs together of the grace of life.” (1 Peter 3:7) This demonstrates equality in salvation and yet, God created men and women for distinct and unique purposes. The wife or woman is the “weaker vessel” and to be cherished and honored by her husband as well as she is to submit herself to her husband (1 Peter 3:7; Ephesians 5:21-27).
Speaking up about what the Bible says concerning the order of God’s church is not suppression toward women but rather simply observing the divine revelation given to us. We must follow His directions with respect to fearing and pleasing Him and not men or women. Order among the assemblies of believers where women are not to be in leadership does not negate the biblical truth and historical record of women serving in many capacities.
Concerning the instructions Paul gives concerning women in 1 Timothy 2, William MacDonald writes:
“As far as her part in public meetings of the church, a woman is to learn in silence with all submission. This is consistent with the rest of Scripture on this subject (1 Cor. 11:3-15; 14:34, 35).
When Paul says: I do not permit a woman to teach, he is speaking as inspired of God. This does not represent Paul’s own personal prejudice, as some say. It is God who decrees that women should not have a public teaching ministry in the church. The only exceptions to this are that they are permitted to teach children (2 Tim. 3:15) and young women (Tit. 2:4). Neither is a woman to have authority over a man. That means that she must not have dominion over a man, but is to be in silence or quietness. Perhaps we should add that the latter part of this verse is by no means limited to the local assembly. It is a fundamental principle in God’s dealings with mankind that man has been given the headship and that woman is in the place of subjection. This does not mean that she is inferior; that is certainly not true. But it does mean that it is contrary to God’s will that the woman should have authority or dominion over the man.
To prove his point, Paul first of all goes to the creation of Adam and Eve. Adam was formed first, then Eve. The very order of the creation was significant. By creating man first, God intended him to be the head, the one who would exercise direction, the one who would have authority. The fact that woman was created second means that she should be in submission to her husband. By passing his argument on the order of creation, Paul rules out any thought that this is a matter of local culture.
The second proof refers to the entrance of sin into the human race. Instead of approaching Adam directly, the serpent went to Eve with his temptations and lies. According to God’s intention, Eve should not have acted independently. She should have gone to Adam and put the matter before him. Instead of that, she allowed herself to be deceived by Satan and fell into transgression.” William MacDonald, Believer’s Bible Commentary, p. 2084
God is the Creator. He made men masculine and women feminine. The two compliment one another. Effeminate men and masculine women are an abomination to our Creator (Proverbs 21:9; 25:24; 1 Corinthians 6:9, etc.).

Women in Ministry? YES! – What Kind?
Women are seen serving all over Scripture. It is certain that women are to serve and without them, the body of Christ could not function as God intends. It is also just as certain that God created women to fulfill a specific role. This role is not the one He appointed for men. No one hinted that women are not allowed to serve. Women have a vital calling and role. Women certainly minister to, and serve others. Of that, there is no question. However, they do not do so in church government. A female who speaks prophecies is a prophetess. She is not in the leadership office of a prophet. She has been given a gift of the Spirit that male or female believers can be blessed to have.
The gift of the Spirit – prophecy – is not the same as a governmental calling to be an apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor, and teacher “for the perfecting (maturing; equipping) of the saints for the work of the ministry.” (Ephesians 4:11-14). There are nine gifts of the Spirit (1 Corinthians 12:7-12) and five gifts of JESUS (Ephesians 4:8-13). They are not the same. The five fold ministry gifts are elder gifts which cannot be fulfilled by women. One of the qualifications is “HUSBAND of one wife”, for which which no woman could possibly qualify (1 Timothy 3:2).
Many today use titles, such as “pastor”, “prophet” and “apostle,” etc. Just look on social websites on the Internet, in local church organizations, on business cards, etc. These are callings and, instead of using them as titles to promote ourselves, we should simply do the work God ordains us to do if we are called in those capacities, not allowing our left hand to know what our right hand does (idiom for pure humility – Matthew 6:3).
We can observe clearly that many use “flattering titles” to elevate themselves above others. Watch what Jesus says and pray for the principle He is seeking to teach us – all who are His (men and women):
“And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven. 10 Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even Christ. 11 But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant. 12 And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted. 13 But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in.” Matthew 23:8-13
“Titles” is a biblical word and here’s one of the places it is found, with a warning:
“Let me not, I pray you, accept any man’s person, neither let me give flattering titles unto man. 22 For I know not to give flattering titles; in so doing my maker would soon take me away.” Job 32:21-22
